As a Realtor® or a company providing real estate related services, you may have asked yourself why you should spend the money and the time to invest in Women’s Council of Realtors®, WCR.  We feel that membership in our local chapter will provide you with many opportunities to increase your knowledge and professionalism and build your referral network for increased earnings.  You will also grow both personally and professionally as you develop new leadership skills.

          On a regular basis, we focus on bringing quality educational programs that yield results to our local membership.  We offer speakers at our regular monthly luncheon meetings in addition to periodic continuing education programs and LTG classes.  The WCR LTG designation (Leadership Training Graduate) is a unique course of study that provides training in leadership skills, sales skills, people skills and communication skills.  Many of these programs are provided at low or no cost to our members.  Our chapter also provides scholarships to members pursuing higher education in the real estate field. 

          Another valuable benefit of WCR is the incredible referral network.  There are several ways to take advantage of this opportunity, beginning at the local level.  Involvement locally will give you opportunities to network with your peers and develop long and lasting referral relationships.  Involvement at the state and national level, through state, regional and national meetings, workshops and events, will create even more income producing opportunities. It doesn’t matter if your customer is looking for Gulf waterfront on Captiva or Oceanside in California, you can be assured they will get the same quality and professional service as you give when you refer to a WCR member. The backbone of the national referral network is the annual member directory, the Referral Roster.  It’s a link to thousands of members eager to share qualified referrals.  A listing in the Roster is free with your National membership and it can be upgraded to further increase your national visibility.           National members also receive the WCR publication Communiqué eight times a year.  This magazine provides many useful and timely articles, which provide tips to increase your productivity, become more technologically adept and to balance your personal and professional life. WCR National also offers a “Members Only Conferencing Area” on their website (www.wcr.org) to search for members and to share ideas.
