ARE YOU UPDATED? One of our biggest challenges so far this year is keeping our roster up to date. Between people changing companies, email addresses, and adding new members, it has been a nightmare to keep it updated. Please check out our website to see if your information is correct (www.wcr-charlottearea.com), and if it isn’t, please send an email to our webmaster from the E-Mail Us button on the left side of any page. If you are a Realtor® or have a National Affiliate membership you will also need to change your information at BOTH National and State. (National – by Fax @ 312-329-3290 or online at www.wcr.org; State – email the membership committee at Marie@PremierTeam.com). Changing it in one place will NOT change it in another. For National members, this is important because it means that your Referral Roster information will not be correct unless you have changed it in ALL places. Starting with the February meeting, we will have forms available at the registration desk to make these changes so PLEASE be sure to follow through. This issue will become even more important as we move to electronic newsletters. You need to be connected, but we can only help you as much as you help yourself. I have personally changed some of your addresses on our local website but those addresses have ONLY been changed locally. You are the ONLY one that can change it nationally or statewide so please pay attention and make sure that you keep everything updated. ULTIMATELY IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY! Becca Nye has also added a “Lost in Space” feature to the newsletter for people whose email addresses have been rejected. Be sure to check that out and keep your information updated. If you haven’t been getting emails from WCR, you need to let us know! “WE NEED REALTORS!” CONTEST Our membership drive will soon be in full swing. If you or anyone you know has a Realtor® friend or acquaintance who is not a member, PLEASE enter the contest and get them enrolled! We have a great membership contest coming up. You might win a free dinner and a seminar. If you have any questions or need enrollment materials please call or email Heather Patalano, our Vice President of Membership (941-276-0216, hpatalano@earthlink.net). We really need Realtor® members. We welcome Affiliate memberships as well, but right now we are a little top heavy on Affiliates and short on Realtors® so the contest is to enroll as many Realtors® as possible. ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITIES Another exciting happening is that you will soon be able to purchase advertising space on our website very affordably. The details have not yet been finalized, but we will offer a business card sized space next to your name on the roster. It can be a business card, or any image you like; the contract will be annual so you will not want to do anything that was time sensitive. For an additional fee, you will also be able to link directly to your own website. More details will follow as we move further along. In the meantime, if you have an interest in this type of advertising, please send an email to our webmaster from the E-Mail Us button on the left side of any page on www.wcr-charlottearea.com. Advertising is also available in our newsletter. The rates will be published in the next edition and advertising will be available on a quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis. Contact Becca Nye, our newsletter editor, for further information. Why advertise on the site or in the newsletter? We have visitors coming to our website looking for Realtors, title companies, financing, consulting services, inspections, insurance, etc. Some are members, some are not. Why miss out on an opportunity at such affordable prices? Referrals from other chapters and from each other mean an increase to your bottom line. Think about it! Affiliate Spotlight - Nacole Klootwyk Nacole Klootwyk started with Executive Title in 1997 in our Port Charlotte office. She currently holds the title of Vice President. A little over a year ago, she was promoted to our Administration Department and is no longer in a closing office. She is currently working with the management staff to grow Executive Title’s presence in the community. Nacole and her husband, Ron Klootwyk, have been married for over 7 years and have 2 beautiful girls, Taylor and Savanna. Nacole has lived in the Punta Gorda area for over 20 years and would not trade it for the world. Realtor Spotlight - Bette Lyttle I have been in and around the Real Estate Business since the late 70’s. My beginning was in the Time Share Industry then on to Agent Sales. Later to Property Management, then back to Agent Sales in Florida. Along with my accounting background, real estate is my greatest area of expertise and my love. Originally from upstate NY my adult years were mainly spent in Colorado. Vail was home for the longest period spent out west. Florida is now home since late 2002. Now I am involved with my community of Gulf Cove and recently was appointed to the corresponding MSBU Committee. Until recently I sat on the Board of Directors for the Gulf Cove Property Owners Association. All of this along with being a Million Dollar Producer keeps me busy. When not busy with all that, my time is spent with my many Feline Kids.   |
